Jadd Davis (he/him) has led a diverse career as a singer, equity actor, educator and therapist. As a performer, he has appeared all over the country with notable local credits onstage at the 5th Avenue Theatre, Village Theatre, Seattle Children's Theatre, ReAct, Taproot Theatre and many others. He appears on the original cast albums for A Christmas Story: The Musical (Sony), Brundibar (Naxos) and numerous other studio and demo albums. In addition to theatre work, Jadd regularly performs soloist roles in opera and oratorio. He is particularly obsessed with the work of Gerald Finzi! Beyond his work as an artist, Jadd is licensed as an Associate Mental Health Counselor (LHMCA) and practices as a therapist for Catalyst Counseling in Woodinville.
Jadd has been a dedicated arts educator for over 20 years. In addition to his private studio, he has taught voice at the University of Montana and served on the theatre faculty of Gonzaga University and Whitworth University. A dedicated "crossover" artist, Jadd is equally at home teaching classical and contemporary singing technique. He also offers instruction in public speaking, accents/dialects and accent reduction.
Jadd holds a BA in Music (voice emphasis), MFA in Theatre (directing emphasis), MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Graduate Certificate in Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies. Jadd tends to teach through the intersection of these lenses: working with the whole person not only on technique, but on the emotional or identity challenges that may be preventing individuals from unlocking technical ability.
